Fraternity will celebrate 100 year anniversary at Ohio State
I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. In 2011, the fraternity will be celebrating the 100th Year Anniversary of Kappa Chapter at the Ohio State University (where I was initiated). I happily designed the logo for that centennial celebration.

When I’m not illustrating caricatures and cartoons, I stay busy working as the director of art and special publications at the American Physical Sociey in College Park, MD. Here’s a series of 3 feet by 6 feet promotional banners that I designed. They will be displayed at the association’s booth at conferences.

Caricature of the “Divine 9”. This is a tribute illustration celebrates the imagery of the 9 historically African American fraternities and sororities. Which include: Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Omega Psi Phi, Iota Phi Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Delta Sigma Theta. The Sigma and Delta in the front are the blessed wedding couple.

Earlier this week, the Association Media & Publishing held it’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. I had a great time networking with my professional colleagues. It was a wonderful and thankfully cost-saving local event that let me interactive with several professionals from around country.

Former Courier cartoonist nominated for award
I truly appreciate the recent write-up that was featured in the New Pittsburgh Courier. I illustrated cartoons for that historic newspaper while I lived in Pittsburgh! To bad I didn’t win, perhaps next year….
