November and December are always a busy and fun time for Caricatures by Kerry. Here are recent caricature projects that I illustrated for holiday gifts. Giving a customized caricature to a friend, family member or co-worker is a unique and entertaining gift. http://www.kerrykraft.com
I’m a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. In 2011, the fraternity will be celebrating the 100th Year Anniversary of Kappa Chapter at the Ohio State University (where I was initiated). I happily designed the logo for that centennial celebration.
When I’m not illustrating caricatures and cartoons, I stay busy working as the director of art and special publications at the American Physical Sociey in College Park, MD. Here’s a series of 3 feet by 6 feet promotional banners that I designed. They will be displayed at the association’s booth at conferences.
I recently had the pleasure to illustrate the main caricature for Sully’s Comedy Club located in Parkville, MD. The popular club was celebrating a grand re-opening.
Caricature of the “Divine 9”. This is a tribute illustration celebrates the imagery of the 9 historically African American fraternities and sororities. Which include: Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Omega Psi Phi, Iota Phi Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Delta Sigma Theta. The Sigma and Delta in the front are the blessed wedding couple.
Recently completed a gift caricature of a pharmacist who is retiring at the end of the July. The bumblebee is his company’s mascot.
Earlier this week, the Association Media & Publishing held it’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. I had a great time networking with my professional colleagues. It was a wonderful and thankfully cost-saving local event that let me interactive with several professionals from around country.
Last weekend my family had a great opportunity to pose for some photos from the talented photographer, LaTonya Hines. Visit her site for more information: http://www.inhinessight.com
I truly appreciate the recent write-up that was featured in the New Pittsburgh Courier. I illustrated cartoons for that historic newspaper while I lived in Pittsburgh! To bad I didn’t win, perhaps next year….
